Browse the online directory of white and yellow pages in Luxembourg. First version of this app has been developped by Tom Weber and was a great success since the beginning. Since apple has released version 3 of the iphone firmware, our app showed up some problems due to compatibility issues with firmware 3.0. Since this, users were unable to add resulting entries to theyr contacts. More over we had some serious problems regarding the proximity search as the results wasn’t as good as we expected them to be. So we have decide to release a second version of it completely reviewed, bug fixed and with a lot of improvements.

In mid august i have start the development of the second version together with Tom. We designed a new interface which makes it much easier to use. The app now communicates much faster than it did before. The proximity search now works as we and our users expect it to work and makes the application a must have. A lot of new features have been added such as a map view containing all results on it. You can easy switch to the details of an item from within the map itself. Filter your results by “professionals, privates or have them displayed together”. More over we’ve integrate utilities showing you useful numbers, emergency drugstores and hospitals and much more. Since Yellow.lu has a user area in which users can have their favorite links, address book and a self describing homepage stored, we used to integrate this area into the iphone app as well.

The second version of Yellow.lu has been submitted to the app store and we’re now waiting for apple to approve it. You will read more about the app here in the future and soon on Luxiphone.lu
